Saw the play last Saturady and we loved it. I am sure in time this will make it to the westend.

BTW. The voice of God with his singers put shiver down my spine.

Great job and hope to see it again.

p.s. We have the cd and listen to it in the car.

    Note I first stumbled on to some other version of this script that did this:

if (!$tweet->{'id'}) {

which is apparently the old way to do things. Modern versions of ttytter require

if (!$tweet->{'id_str'}) {

instead. Make sure you are using @augmentedforth's newer version of the script so you don't waste time like I did trying to figure this out.

    Mine was originally based on somebody's extension for delicious.com bookmarking, but I don't recall who the original source was.

There was no license on the original, but @stormdragon2976 wanted one when he put it in his extensions pack, so I made mine WTFPL. His pack doesn't include the latest modification to make it 1.1.8-compatible, though.

    Thanks, Brad. Your code is very similar to mine. Had you come across Reuteras' version as well? Yours looks like a refined fork of that.

Yours will work with passwordless accounts - the Instapaper API says that any password is accepted for such accounts.

If I had Googled and found yours I probably would never have bothered to learn github. I'll incorporate your changes into my version.

    Here's mine:
http://bit.ly/91p1ao

It supports passwords, though I'm unsure if it actually works with passwordless accounts. You probably have to put a colon after the username in ~/.instapaper for the split function not to blow up.

    Ah yes, we were hoping to attend that as well, but as we're away until Tuesday, and then busy Wednesday and Friday, Thursday was the only day we would have been able to attend, which might have just tipped us over the edge of sanity in an action-packed week. I'm sure it will be excellent; one of my favourite Porters.

    George, you are of course absolutely correct. I am confusing the show I'm in with the show that I'm attending next week. That's Anything Goes, which Kerry Clark is in: http://www.wyspas.info/1.html
Ah, the Americans. So reasonable. So hands-off. How ironic that something so fundamentally simple and laudible should be ruined by some autocratic power-hungry nutters on the other side of the Atlantic. Well done the British. As many have said, with the way things are going, it's only a matter of time before we get the Empire back.

By the way, that "I, for one, welcome our ### overlords" is a meme, but it's originally a quotation from a Joan Collins film. Can't remember which, though...

    We don't appear in the BT directory, though I must say I wonder why! We did opt to keep the number that the property had, rather than have a new one in the interests of expediency, and the fact the property had sat empty for a few months, which is normally enough time to get it off the lists.

It would not surprise me if the number had been picked at random: I'm sure these companies attempt to place calls to a huge list of numbers: remember that what they're selling is hardly age-dependent, normally. I would doubt that BT would sell our number, as surely they abide by Telephone Preference? I have just renewed that service and have made sure to add the house number, though it was already added when I requested BT Privacy At Home. I would suggest that any other readers do the same: http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/tps/

    Indeed nuisance calls are just that; a nuisance. That said, if one keeps one's fixed line number ex-directory, they should dry up. But something here seems not to be right; knowing you as I do, I can't believe your number would not be ex-directory, and, therefore, can only assume that it is down to BT farming out your number to these simpering vultures. I can't recall receiving a single nuisance call in the past 10 years (roughly since we simultaneously left BT and became ex-directory). As you say, though, the reason you can't report it is at least partly due to the revenue it undoubtedly brings the customer-focused champions of privacy that provide your telephonic communications service. It may also be, at least in part, and rather depressingly, that the majority of people simply wouldn't use it; if you've just had your time wasted answering the phone to a nuisance call, you're unlikely to want to spend yet more time dialling a number and reporting the nuisance.

It would certainly be interesting to know if it's just a BT phenomenon; it certainly doesn't seem to be a problem with Virgin or C&W.
